Blast From the Past - Dovima

I present to you Dorothy Virginia Margaret Juba aka Dovima! A grand beauty, a 1950's american model. I must also brag about the fact that this lady had polish roots! Polish women have simply always been the most beautiful!
She was discovered by Irving Penn and later worked closely with Richard Avedon. She is been said to be the first "supermodel" of the fashion industry. In 1955 Avedon took a picture of her in a Dior gown in front of elephants. That picture became a classic.
She appeared in "Funny Face", the famous movie with Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire.
I adore her look, she is my favorite 1950's model. The cheekbones, the dark hair and eyebrows. And of course that 50's waist, to die for!
